For immediate review: credible, time-sensitive reports indicate mass civilian killings in Iran under a regime-imposed nationwide internet blackout following nationwide protests.
On January 8–9, millions of unarmed Iranians responded to a nationwide call to protest issued by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. In retaliation, the Islamic Republic imposed a total shutdown of internet and telecommunications to conceal violence and prevent international scrutiny. Credible reports now indicate 16,000–30,000 civilians killed in January 2026 alone, with thousands more arrested, tortured, and executed. Information continues to emerge only in fragments due to the blackout. This mirrors the regime’s past atrocities in 2009, 2019, and 2022–23 and signals rapid escalation toward far greater loss of life. This is not only a humanitarian catastrophe but a direct U.S. national security threat. The Islamic Republic remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Allowing it to massacre its own people with impunity strengthens a regime that exports violence globally.
Immediate action is urgently requested:
• Engage directly with Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, leader of Iran’s democratic opposition
• Degrade the regime’s repressive capacity, including the IRGC
• Freeze regime assets and dismantle illicit oil and financial networks
• Break the internet blackout using secure communications tools
• Publicly condemn the killings, support regime change in Iran and help Iranian people by supporting the intervention of US and EU countries to enforce a regime change and establish a democratic state in Iran by the leadership of Reza Pahlavi who is chosen leader for transition.
Lives are being lost every hour. Silence and delay will only enable further mass atrocities. Please stand with the Iranian people and act before this catastrophe worsens.
