Email Subject: Request to UN to dismiss the IR representatives
Email Sample:
Your Excellencies,
I write to formally request the immediate review, suspension, and dismissal of the representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, including senior officials of its Permanent Mission in Geneva, as listed in the UN Geneva Blue Book, including but not limited to:
• Mr. Ali Bahraini, Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in Geneva
• Mr. Mohammad Reza Naji, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran
• Senior diplomatic officials and counsellors accredited under the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in Geneva
This request is submitted in accordance with the United Nations Charter, customary international law, and the UN’s obligation to deny legitimacy to regimes responsible for crimes against humanity.
Since January 2026, the Islamic Republic of Iran has engaged in widespread and systematic violence against its civilian population, including the killing of an estimated tens of thousands of unarmed civilians during nationwide protests. These actions were carried out pursuant to state policy and accompanied by:
• A deliberate nationwide shutdown of internet and communications, intended to conceal crimes
• The use of live ammunition against peaceful demonstrators, including women and minors
• Mass arrests followed by summary executions, torture, and enforced disappearances
• Intimidation of families, suppression of medical care, and obstruction of independent reporting
These acts meet the legal definition of crimes against humanity under Article 7 of the Rome Statute, including murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts committed as part of a widespread and systematic attack directed against a civilian population.
Officials accredited to the United Nations by the Islamic Republic of Iran do not represent the Iranian people. They represent a governing apparatus that has forfeited any claim to legitimacy through mass violence, censorship, and terror. Continued recognition of these representatives:
• Contradicts the purposes and principles of the UN Charter
• Undermines the credibility and moral authority of the United Nations
• Normalizes impunity for mass atrocities
• Inflicts profound harm on the victims and survivors seeking international protection
The United Nations has both the authority and the responsibility to deny representation to regimes engaged in crimes against humanity. Diplomatic credentials cannot be used as a shield for state-sponsored mass killing.
Accordingly, I respectfully but firmly urge the United Nations to:
1. Initiate an immediate credentials review of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s representatives
2. Suspend or revoke their accreditation pending independent investigation
3. Deny legitimacy and representation to officials of a regime responsible for mass atrocities
4. Publicly affirm that the Iranian people are distinct from—and unrepresented by—the Islamic Republic
History has shown that silence and procedural inertia in the face of mass atrocities erode the very foundations of international law. The United Nations must not allow its chambers to be occupied by agents of a regime actively engaged in crimes against its own people.
I urge you to act in accordance with the UN’s founding principles and on the side of justice, accountability, and human dignity.
