What this work is

We are organizing neighborhood-level civic action. Volunteers will build relationships with both major parties’ Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) and speak directly with neighbors—informing them about the situation in Iran and asking them to contact Congress. Our shared request is maximum pressure on the regime’s repressive apparatus and maximum support for an Iranian-led, secular democratic transition.

1  MEET BOTH PARTIES’ PCOs Find the Democratic and Republican PCOs serving your precinct.Request an introductory meeting with each PCO.Present the same information and requests to both.Develop respectful, continuing relationships and report the outcome and next step.

2  SPEAK WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS Briefly explain the situation in Iran and why constituent voices matter.Ask each interested neighbor to contact their own U.S. representative and both U.S. senators.Note their response, whether they will act, and what follow-up may help.Invite interested neighbors to a small neighborhood meeting.

What you report back

Send the organizer a short outreach report: who you spoke with, the person’s general response, whether they agreed to contact Congress, and your recommended follow-up. Use a first name and last initial unless the person gives permission to share full contact information.

YOU WILL HAVE SUPPORT.  We will provide talking points, guidance on congressional contacts, suggested language, and follow-up support. If you want to organize a neighborhood meeting, we will help you plan it and provide the materials.
