Subject: Urgent Call for Action: Closing Islamic Republic Embassies in Response to Crimes Against Humanity

Dear Representatives of the Governments of the European Union,

I write to you at a moment of grave moral and historical responsibility. The situation in Iran has reached a point where silence and routine diplomacy are no longer defensible.

For months, the people of Iran have been subjected to widespread and systematic violence by the Islamic Republic. Peaceful protesters have been killed in the streets, detained arbitrarily, tortured, and executed. Medical professionals have been threatened and punished for saving lives. Families are denied justice, transparency, and even the right to mourn. These actions constitute crimes against humanity under international law and continue with impunity.

In light of these ongoing atrocities, we respectfully urge all EU member states to take a decisive and unified political step: the closure of Islamic Republic embassies and the suspension of diplomatic representation.

This action is not symbolic—it is strategic and consequential.

Closing embassies would:

  • Deny legitimacy to a regime that no longer represents its people and rules solely through violence.
  • Politically isolate a government that has repeatedly violated international human rights obligations and ignored global condemnation.
  • Send a clear and unified message that crimes against humanity carry real diplomatic consequences.
  • Stand in solidarity with the Iranian people, who are courageously demanding freedom, dignity, and democratic governance.

Diplomatic relations are founded on mutual respect for human rights, international norms, and the will of the people. The Islamic Republic has fundamentally violated these principles. Continuing normal diplomatic engagement risks signaling tolerance of repression and undermines the very values the European Union stands for.

The people of Iran have made their position unmistakably clear: this regime has lost all legitimacy. They are moving forward—at great personal cost—toward regime change and the establishment of a free, democratic Iran grounded in human rights and the rule of law. History will remember who stood with them at this critical moment.

Humanity is in danger when crimes of this scale are met with restraint rather than resolve. This is the time for principled leadership. This is the time to act.

We urge the European Union and its member states to align their policies with their values and take a firm stand against ongoing crimes against humanity in Iran.

Respectfully,

[YOUR FULL NAME]
