Dear President Trump,

On behalf of concerned citizens and in solidarity with the Iranian people, I strongly urge you against any deal with the Islamic Republic regime.

Tens of thousands of innocent Iranians have been massacred simply for demanding freedom and the end of this oppressive government. Credible reporting from multiple independent sources indicates that the death toll from the January 2026 crackdown may exceed 30,000, estimating at least 43,000 Iranian civilians killed following nationwide protests that began on January 8–9, 2026, after millions of Iranians across the country mobilized in opposition to the Islamic Republic and in support of democratic change under the leadership of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi [1]. In response, the regime imposed a total nationwide internet blackout and carried out large-scale lethal repression, constituting one of the most severe crackdowns in Iran’s modern history; due to restricted access and information suppression, the true death toll is likely significantly higher [2].

Reports further indicate that tens of thousands of protesters have been arrested, with ongoing executions, torture, and deaths in custody continuing under conditions of restricted international access and communications suppression.

The scale, speed, and systematic nature of these actions raise grave concerns under U.S. human rights obligations, counterterrorism priorities, and national security interests.

These brave individuals did not sacrifice their lives for the international community to negotiate a so-called “better deal” with their oppressors.

Any agreement with this regime would not only legitimize the ongoing atrocities but also guarantee instability in the region for another century. Empty-handed and facing unimaginable odds, the people of Iran are fighting not just for their own liberation, but for global security and human rights.

Please prove to the Iranians and the world that your administration is not worse than Obama’s and will not abandon the Iranian people in their hour of need. Making a deal with this regime would betray the values of democracy and justice that America stands for.

We implore you to support the Iranian people’s quest for freedom instead.
