Subject: Urgent Report on Human Rights Violations in Iran by the Islamic Republic Regime

To the Human Rights Committee,

I am writing to urgently bring to your attention the severe human rights violations being perpetrated by the Islamic Republic regime in Iran. The case of Iranian songwriter and rapper Toomaj Salehi is particularly alarming, as he has been sentenced to death for his songs that criticize the injustices within Iran.

Toomaj Salehi’s situation exemplifies the systematic suppression of freedom of expression in Iran. His music, which aimed to shed light on the injustices faced by many Iranians, has been met with a harsh and unjust response from the authorities. The right to freedom of expression is a fundamental human right that should be protected and upheld by all nations.

The sham trials and imposition of the death penalty by the Islamic Republic of Iran are clear violations of international human rights standards. Toomaj Salehi’s case is just one example of many where individuals are subjected to unfair trials and ultimately sentenced to death for peacefully expressing their dissent against an oppressive regime.

It is imperative that immediate action be taken to address these egregious human rights violations in Iran. The international community must condemn the actions of the Islamic Republic regime and pressure them to halt these inhumane practices. Specifically, we urge you to intervene in Toomaj Salehi’s case to prevent his unjust execution and ensure his safety.

The situation in Iran demands urgent attention from the international community, especially from organizations such as yours that are dedicated to upholding human rights worldwide. We cannot stand idly by while individuals like Toomaj Salehi face persecution and death for simply exercising their right to freedom of expression.

We implore you to take swift and decisive action to address these violations and protect the lives of those who are at risk under the oppressive regime in Iran.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
